We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms
When you visit SAO, you’ll find a cozy, clean retail area of about a thousand square feet. We’re not a big retailer but we carry a decent variety of handguns, long guns, tactical rifles, knives, ammo, accessories and clothing. We stock most of the biggest names in firearms including Smith & Wesson, Glock, Sig Sauer, Beretta, Winchester, Remington, Taurus, Ruger, and more. If you’re looking for a particular gun that we do not have in stock, we can usually have it on hand in 48 hours. Our prices are competitive with the biggest retailers, particularly when you factor in shipping and transfer fees, and with every gun purchase at SAO you get one month of unlimited range time free of charge.
If you have a gun you’re not quite happy with or just don’t need anymore, we might buy it outright or take it on a trade for the piece you really want. We use the Blue Book of Gun Values to price your gun and show you the valuation – this is a no-nonsense transaction.
You May Purchase on Lay-away
Don’t have the funds to buy your dream gun outright? No problem – put up 25% of the purchase price and we’ll start your lay-away. But, the gun will still be displayed and if another customer wants to purchase it, we must sell it. Of course, your deposit will be refunded. Once your lay-away payments amount to 50% of the purchase price, we will take the gun out of the case and store it in one of our safes until it is paid for in full.
We Take Guns on Consignment
Another alternative is to put your unwanted weapon on consignment at the shop. We price the gun according to Blue Book value and keep 10% of the selling price or $50 (whichever is greater) when the gun sells. If you decide to take the gun off consignment because you’ve sold it on your own or just changed your mind, you pay our firearm transfer fee of $35.
We Accept Firearms Transfers
If you choose to buy a gun online or at an out-of-state shop and are a legal Florida resident, you must have the gun shipped to a Florida FFL dealer like SAO. Have the seller contact us and we will provide them the information they need to send the firearm to our shop. When the gun arrives we will contact you to come fill out the background check and pick up your gun. We charge $35 plus tax to complete the transfer. If you are transferring more than one gun and are picking them up at the same time, the fee for the second, third, etc. is $17 each.
Online Shop
If you’re looking for a huge selection of firearms and accessories and are comfortable shopping from your computer screen, we have just what you need. You can access thousands of firearms and other goodies when you click here to enter the Second Amendment Outfitters Web Shop. When you purchase anything in our Web Shop, you’ll pay a 25% deposit online and the item(s) will be sent by our supplier to the shop here in Yulee for you to come in and pick up. You will pay the applicable tax and shipping fee. When you pick up a firearm, we waive our standard $35 transfer fee so you pay only $8 for the background check.
